Energy Storage Summit Australia 2024

Australia is home to some of the largest energy storage projects in the world, notably the Hornsdale Power Reserve in Southern Australia and the 700-MW/2,800-MWh battery storage project in New South Wales, hailed to be operational in 2025 which will be designed to replace the soon-to-be-retired Eraring coal-fired power station.

The recent change in government has sharpened Australia’s focus on building renewable energy capacity, and 2022 saw over 5GW of new renewable capacity installed across a range of different technologies. However, with an 82% target of total installed renewable capacity by 2030, the country needs to quicken its pace of development for large-scale projects to avoid falling short of this.

With supportive government policies at federal and state level, access to capital and the build-up of momentum behind their clean energy future, Australia should be able to reach its targets and energy storage will play a key role in this.

Themes include enabling Australia’s transition to renewable energy, the impact of energy storage on the NEM, technology solutions, investment and revenue considerations and case studies from across Australia.

At Energy Storage Australia, the only standalone storage event in Australia you are guaranteed to meet all the most important investors, developers, IPPs, grid operators, policymakers, utilities, energy buyers, service providers, consultancies and technology providers under one roof, ensuring that your deals get done as efficiently as possible.
