From Gridlock to Growth: Scaling C&I Energy Storage Across the UK

This session explores UK C&I storage growth, high-value applications, deployment barriers, bankable models and policies needed for scale-up.

This deep-dive session will bring together installers, distributors, EPCs, project developers, manufacturers, technology providers, energy users, investors, network operators, local authorities, regulators and policymakers to explore how commercial and industrial energy storage can become a core part of the UK’s energy transition. The discussion will examine where the market is growing, which applications offer the greatest value, and how storage can support lower energy costs, renewable self-consumption, peak reduction, resilience, EV charging and grid flexibility. It will also address the main barriers to faster deployment, including grid connections, planning, safety, finance, market access, skills, software integration, warranties and supply-chain risks.
